Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Move Technologies Inc, the company behind WorkPilot ("WorkPilot," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use WorkPilot (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
The WorkPilot Driver browser extension
WorkPilot includes an optional Chrome extension, WorkPilot Driver, that connects your browser to the WorkPilot app running on the same computer. This section describes exactly what that extension does with data, and matches the disclosures on its Chrome Web Store listing.
- What it reads. The content of a job-lead page you have open — the lead's text (title, description, job details) and any customer name or contact details shown on that lead — so WorkPilot can draft a quote. The only data the extension collects is website content and personally identifiable information visible on the lead.
- Where it goes. The extension sends this only to the WorkPilot app on your own computer (127.0.0.1). The extension does not transmit your browsing or page content to WorkPilot's servers or any third party.
- What it does not collect. It does not collect your passwords or platform credentials, health information, financial or payment information, personal communications (emails, texts, or chats), your location (such as IP address or GPS), your browsing history, or logs of your clicks and keystrokes.
- When it acts. It reads a page only while you are using it for lead work, and it fills in or submits a bid only on your command.
- Not sold; single purpose. Data read by the extension is never sold or transferred to third parties (outside of operating the Service for you), is not used for any purpose unrelated to helping you review and submit bids, and is never used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
- Requirements. The extension works only alongside the WorkPilot desktop app and a WorkPilot account. Removing the extension stops all of the above.
1. Information we collect
- Account and profile information you provide, such as your email address, name, company name, trade, and phone number.
- Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number; Stripe handles it. We keep limited billing details such as your subscription status and the last four digits of your card as returned by Stripe.
- Usage and device information generated as you use the Service, such as app version, log data, and basic diagnostics needed to operate and improve the Service.
- Connected-platform activity. WorkPilot runs on your computer and works within the lead-platform sessions you are signed into, so it can read and respond to job opportunities on your behalf. WorkPilot processes that platform content to draft bids for your approval. We do not ask for or store the passwords to your third-party platform accounts.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including finding job opportunities and drafting bids for your review.
- To manage your account, free trial, subscription, and billing.
- To communicate with you, including sending sign-in links, service updates, and support responses.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
- To understand usage and improve the Service.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed:
- Service providers who help us run the Service, such as Stripe (payments), email delivery, hosting, and infrastructure providers. They may only use the information to perform services for us.
- Legal reasons if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of WorkPilot, our users, or others.
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
4. Third-party platforms
WorkPilot acts within the third-party lead platforms you connect (such as HomeStars, Bark, Thumbtack, Angi). Those platforms are controlled by their owners and have their own privacy policies and terms. We are independent and not affiliated with them. Your use of those platforms through WorkPilot is also governed by their policies, and we encourage you to review them.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and billing information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You can review and update your profile information in your account. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@workpilot.co. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws; we will honor those rights as required. You can stop the Service from acting on the platforms at any time by disconnecting them or canceling.
8. Cookies
Our website and account portal use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, keep your session, and operate the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
9. Children
The Service is intended for businesses and people aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
